The Digital Design - Apprenticeship Style Diploma combines the same accredited diploma curriculum as the standard Digital Design program with part-time, paid work in the design industry starting in Term 2. Students build skills in digital and print media production, including websites, e-publications, applications, and interactive and multimedia products, while applying their learning through real-world design projects with industry employers. The program runs four terms, approximately one year, and is intended for students who want workplace experience integrated into their studies rather than completed separately after graduation. Graduates receive a diploma from Bow Valley College and are prepared for design roles such as web designer or digital media producer, with employer connections built through the apprenticeship placements. Admission requires a credit in English Language Arts 30-1, a minimum of 65% in English Language Arts 30-2, or an equivalent; applicants may also qualify through GED completion with a standard score of 520 in Language Arts, or through satisfactory results on the college's Admission and Placement Test. This intake is offered to domestic students only.
