Architectural Technology – Sustainable Design is a three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma at Sheridan College delivered in person. In the first two years, students build core architectural technology skills, including computer-aided design (CAD) software, building and assembly systems, technical document preparation, and building envelope detailing. In the final year, students work with real community clients on project plans, applying sustainable-design principles and current industry software to live design problems. The program combines technical drafting and building-science coursework with applied studio and client-facing project work, preparing graduates for roles supporting architects, engineers, and building-design firms on sustainable building projects. Coursework builds practical drafting, technical documentation, and sustainability-focused design skills used across the building industry. Graduates are prepared for technologist roles in architectural and building-design practices.
