Data Management and Analytics Post-Diploma Certificate

The Data Management and Analytics Post-Diploma Certificate prepares graduates of a diploma in business administration, information technology, engineering, or software development to support data-driven decision making. Over two terms, students learn to plan the data life cycle, model data, and use information-technology tools to gather, clean, and analyze data sets. Coursework covers relational databases, data warehousing, data quality, visual analytics, and big-data concepts. The program culminates in an applied analytics project in which students design a solution to a real business challenge. Applicants should have prior programming experience before starting the program. The program is delivered by Bow Valley College's School of Creative Industries and Digital Technology and leads to a Post-Graduation Work Permit-eligible credential. A personal laptop meeting the program's minimum technical requirements is required for coursework.
