The Operations Management (Materials Management Option) Certificate is a part-time Flexible Learning program covering material handling across purchasing, production, traffic, and warehousing. The program is developed by working operations professionals and prepares graduates for the APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) exams. It is intended for working adults with some work experience who are in, or seeking to move into, roles involving materials, buying, production, and inventory, such as purchasing coordinator, production manager, or warehouse supervisor. New courses start in September, January, and April on BCIT's Flexible Learning intake schedule, delivered in a blended online and in-person format. Admission requires English language proficiency at BCIT's Category 2 level (English Studies 12 at 67% or equivalent). The program is open to international applicants, who require a valid BCIT study permit before starting, and meets the field-of-study requirement for a Post-Graduation Work Permit.
