At British Columbia Institute of Technology in Burnaby, Canada, Technical Arts Advanced Diploma is offered as a higher diploma in Applied Design programme. The programme runs for 12 months, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 26,726 per total (CAD 18,000 per total for local students).
This advanced diploma builds the skills of a creative problem solver able to bridge the technical and content sides of visual effects, game, and animation projects. Study includes working alongside artists and programmers to build and maintain an art production workflow, and identifying and developing tools to improve, troubleshoot, and streamline that process. Work covered by the diploma spans animation and visual effects for television and film, video game production, and interactive experiences across digital platforms, within studios ranging from small boutique operations to large multinational companies.
