Brock University's Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, offered through the Faculty of Mathematics and Science, gives students access to research-grade laboratory equipment that is used for both teaching and research rather than reserved solely for faculty projects. The program emphasizes hands-on learning throughout, with students acting as active partners in departmental research activities, including special research courses and paid summer research placements; some undergraduates co-author academic papers with faculty before graduating. An optional Chemistry Co-op stream lets students combine academic terms with three four-month work terms, and a minor in Chemistry is available alongside the degree. Graduates pursue careers such as pharmaceutical researcher, forensic technician, environmental researcher, teacher, and patent lawyer, or go on to become a physician, dentist, chiropractor, or pharmacist following further professional study.
