As the only program of its kind in northern Ontario, the Bachelor of Applied Computing offers a unique opportunity to gain the industry skills and experience employers are seeking to stand out in a competitive industry. In your first two years, you’ll build a strong foundation in computer science principles while gaining hands-on experience through applied learning. By your third year, you’ll choose one of three specializations that aligns with your interests and career goals: Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, or Data Analytics. A paid internship will round out your studies and put your research and analysis skills to work while you form valuable industry connections that can help launch your career.

Admission Requirements: Admission follows Cambrian's general degree-entry rule: the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD, 30 credits) with six Grade 12 University (U) or University/College (M) stream courses, or mature-student standing. This programme's own page sets a minimum overall average of 65% across those six courses and names its own subjects: Grade 12 English (U) at a minimum of 65%, one Grade 12 mathematics course from Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U), Advanced Functions (MHF4U) or Mathematics of Data Management (MDM4U) at a minimum of 65%, plus four further Grade 12 U or M courses. The programme page does not publish a domestic English-language test score, matching Cambrian's stated position that it sets no college-wide test for domestic applicants. International applicants must instead meet Cambrian's published English minimums for degree programmes: IELTS Academic 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 88, or PTE Academic 58.
