Overview
Train to battle cybercrime and protect businesses Cybercrime costs the world trillions of dollars each year. Become one of the good guys and train to keep computer systems and wireless networks safe from security risks. As an ethical hacker, you’ll learn how to protect computers, applications, and networks from unauthorized and malicious users or software. You’ll cover key cybersecurity concepts of infrastructure security configuration, information system security, risk management and cybersecurity policies, as well as legal and ethical aspects of the industry. As a graduate, you will be prepared to work as part of an IT support or security team.

Admission Requirements: Cambrian's page for Cybersecurity sets its own entry route: applicants must be graduates of an Ontario College (or equivalent) diploma, advanced diploma or degree program in computer science, information technology or a related field, or must hold three years of related work experience (or a mix of education and experience) assessed by the College, in which case a resume, cover letter and any post-secondary transcripts are required. No minimum grade or overall average is published. The page defers international applicants to Cambrian's international admissions page for additional requirements; there, the institution-wide English Language Proficiency Requirement sets the Graduate Certificate tier at IELTS Academic 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 84, PTE Academic 61, or Duolingo English Test 120 or higher.
