Overview
The Earth Sciences program at the University of Regina leads to a Bachelor of Science in Geology or Environmental Geoscience, each with an honours option, completed over four years, and is offered through the Faculty of Science jointly with the university's federated colleges, including Campion College. The curriculum covers the processes and physical structure of the earth, combining classroom instruction with field-based methods and hands-on laboratory skills across geological and environmental-geoscience disciplines. Graduates are eligible for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan, transferable to other Canadian jurisdictions. Admission pathways differ depending on whether a student enters directly from high school, transfers from another institution, or applies as a mature or international student. Graduates pursue careers as exploration geologists, environmental consultants, hydrologists, and related roles with resource companies, consulting firms, and government agencies.
