Journalism (Journalism, News Media, and Communication) at the University of Regina, offered through Campion College together with the University of Regina, First Nations University of Canada, and Luther College, leads to a Bachelor of Arts integrated across all four years of study. The program trains students to craft stories across print, broadcast, digital, and podcast media, covering writing, research, reporting, editing, and photojournalism, with supporting coursework drawn from history, political science, economics, public relations, Indigenous communication arts, and media studies. Specialized instruction addresses community media, Indigenous representation and awareness, and rural and agricultural reporting. Students complete a mandatory 13-week paid internship with a local media organization or communications firm before graduating, and have access to a broadcast studio and radio, podcasting, and editing facilities. Field trips, travel support, and conference participation are also part of the program. Graduates pursue roles such as reporter, multimedia specialist, social media manager, photojournalist, and communications specialist across media, corporate, and nonprofit employers.
