Overview
The University of Regina offers a four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts, studied through Campion College, requiring a set of studio and art-history courses with fewer general-education and elective requirements than the university's Bachelor of Arts alternative, which allows more advanced-level focus on studio and art-history work. Admission Requirements: The Visual Arts program page has no admission detail beyond a note that transfer applicants must meet the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance's requirements, so it defers to that Faculty's general page. Saskatchewan high school applicants need Saskatchewan Secondary Level standing with English Language Arts 30, two further approved 30-level courses, and one additional approved 30-level course, for a 65% admission average; all admits enter the BA in Visual Arts first. The Faculty's special-admissions page for Visual Arts states that moving into the BFA (or the Certificate in Fine Arts / Certificate in Indigenous Fine Arts) requires a portfolio review: bringing ten to twenty recent artworks in any medium plus a 250-word letter of introduction on the applicant's interest in the program, with that letter emailed to the Visual Arts office three days ahead of the review (online reviewers instead email the full portfolio and letter three days ahead). All applicants must meet the university's English language proficiency requirement, satisfied by an IELTS Academic overall band of 6.5 (no band below 6.0), a TOEFL iBT overall score of 4.5 with each of Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing at least 4, a PTE Academic score of 59, a Duolingo score of 120, or a CAEL score of 60.

For Fall 2027 entry the early application deadline is 15 March 2027 and the final deadline is 15 August 2027; Winter 2027 entry closes 1 November 2026 (early) or 15 December 2026 (final); Spring/Summer 2027 entry closes 15 April 2027. International applicants use the same final deadlines as domestic applicants each term but are not eligible for the earlier priority dates, which are domestic-only; admission is not rolling, since the University of Regina enforces these published term cutoffs. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
