Master of Business Administration (Collaborative MBA)

This Collaborative Master of Business Administration frames business education around sustainability, self-awareness, and pursuing profit without harm to people or the environment, alongside standard professional management competencies and relationship-building skills. The program is delivered jointly with two partner institutions, Eastern Mennonite University and Goshen College, and offers two participation streams: a residential stream in which students attend classes in person on CMU's Winnipeg campus while connecting synchronously with the collaborative classroom, and a fully online stream conducted primarily through synchronous videoconferencing supplemented by asynchronous learning activities. Coursework follows a blended format combining two on-site courses with courses taken one at a time, each running six weeks and held on Thursday evenings at 6:00 PM Eastern Time. The program targets students who want to develop as business leaders oriented toward sustainability and the common good rather than technical management skills alone. Its multi-institution delivery model and structured six-week course cadence, rather than a conventional semester calendar, distinguish it from a typical single-campus MBA, and its dual residential/online tracks let students based away from Winnipeg complete the degree without regular in-person attendance while still connecting with a cohort spanning the three partner schools.
