Diploma in Techniques d'Administration et de Gestion

Techniques d'administration et de gestion is a three-year DEC (Diplome d'etudes collegiales) offered by Cegep de La Pocatiere (programme code 410.G0). It prepares students to work as administrative and accounting technicians, covering human resources management, purchasing, accounting, and marketing. Instruction combines coursework with applied learning through the college's in-house student enterprise, Espace TAG, four observation micro-internships completed in the first two years, and an eight-week workplace internship in the final year, with a possible placement abroad. Students may follow an optional mathematics pathway that supports transfer to university business programmes, and may take part in a study session in France. The programme has no enrollment cap. Courses progress from financial statements, the business environment, and computer tools in year one, through accounting cycles, business law, and human resources in year two, to payroll, accounting software, cost analysis, logistics, and a capstone project in year three.
