Program details

Overview

This programme trains technicians in maintenance, electronics, and information technology for companies undergoing or planning a digital transformation. It responds to the growing need, in manufacturing and process industries, for technical staff able to maintain and support increasingly connected and automated production equipment. It totals 1,050 hours of instruction, delivered online and in person in partner cégep laboratories, on a part-time basis in the evening and on some weekends, allowing students already working in industry to combine study with employment. The credential awarded is an Attestation d'études collégiales (AEC), a short-cycle college training certificate. Admission requires applicants to already hold a Diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) and to have prior competencies in industrial maintenance, industrial mechanics, automated systems, or industrial electricity, since the programme builds directly on that technical base.
