This programme develops beekeeping and management skills to start or improve the profitability of a beekeeping enterprise. Coursework covers bee biology, hive management, production of honey and other bee products, commercialization, and all aspects of enterprise administration. Delivery is part-time, mainly asynchronous online, with approximately four in-person field workshops at locations confirmed at the start of classes. The programme is offered in collaboration with Collège d'Alma. The credential awarded is an Attestation d'études collégiales (AEC). Admission requires a Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES) or an equivalent diploma recognized by Quebec's Ministry of Higher Education, or training deemed acceptable by Cégep de Lévis, plus one additional condition relating to interrupted full-time studies, prior post-secondary studies, or holding a Diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP).
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES) or an equivalent diploma recognized by Quebec's Ministry of Higher Education, or training deemed acceptable by Cégep de Lévis. One additional condition must also be met: an interruption of full-time studies for at least two consecutive sessions, completion of post-secondary studies, or holding a Diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP).
