Informatique, profil Développement d'applications is a three-year technical DEC. The first three sessions are common to all students in the informatics program, after which students choose this application-development specialization. Coursework covers multiple programming languages, including JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, Python, Java, SQL, HTML, CSS, and PHP, and builds competencies in web and mobile application development, operating system management, database design and security, and network administration; within the profile, students can further focus on a Games and Virtual Worlds track or a Connected Objects track. Training takes place in specialized computing laboratories with a private cloud environment for building and managing virtual servers, and the program includes a minimum ten-week internship with an employer. Admission requires Secondary 4 Mathematics (Technico-sciences or Sciences naturelles sequence) or the equivalent. The program suits students interested in software and application development who want direct employer contact before graduating. Graduates can work directly as web or mobile developers, IT technicians, database administrators, or game developers, or continue to university through DEC-BAC agreements with Université Laval and UQAR that can credit up to a year toward degrees in software engineering, computer science, or game development.

The Informatique, profil Developpement d'applications programme requires Mathematiques Technico-sciences 4e, Sciences naturelles 4e, or Culture, societe et technique 5e completed at the secondary level. Applicants admitted on a DEP must also have completed Secondary V language of instruction, Secondary V second language, and Secondary IV mathematics.
