Program details
Overview
Human Sciences and Languages is a three-year pre-university Double DEC (Diplôme d'études collégiales), program code 300.16, offered at Cégep de Lévis, combining the Human Sciences program with intensive language study. Students choose a Human Sciences profile from Management and Marketing, World Discovery, or Human Development and Interactions, while completing coursework in French, English, and Spanish leading to trilingual proficiency alongside international certification. The language component is added on top of the chosen Human Sciences profile's regular course sequence, extending the credential to three years instead of the standard two. The program is delivered on campus and prepares graduates for university studies in social sciences, business, or related fields that also require multilingual competency. Course requirements in mathematics vary by profile track, and incoming students take a mandatory English placement test to determine their appropriate course level.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES) or an equivalent qualification. Depending on the chosen mathematics pathway, applicants must have completed secondary-level Mathematics: Culture, société et technique 4 (non-mathematics track) or Technico-sciences 5 / Sciences naturelles 5 (mathematics track). A mandatory English placement test applies.
