Overview
La technologie d'analyses biomédicales (140.C0) est un DEC technique de trois ans offert au Cégep de Sherbrooke, à admission automnale. Le programme forme des techniciennes et techniciens de laboratoire médical appelés à collaborer avec des équipes médicales et du personnel de recherche dans des secteurs comme l'immunohématologie, la biochimie, l'hématologie, l'histopathologie et la microbiologie. La formation couvre une variété de tâches de laboratoire, dont différents types de prélèvements sanguins et la réalisation des analyses nécessaires à l'établissement d'un diagnostic, avec une attention portée aux contrôles de qualité des résultats. Elle s'adresse à une clientèle attirée par le travail de précision en laboratoire, intéressée par la recherche, l'analyse et les sciences de la santé. L'admission exige la réussite de cours de mathématiques, de chimie et de physique de niveau secondaire. Admission Requirements: This programme page only points to Cégep de Sherbrooke's general admission conditions, administered through SRAM (admission.sram.qc.ca). Domestically that requires a Diploma of Secondary Studies (DES), or a record the Cégep judges equivalent (including studies completed outside Quebec); DES holders from before 2010 or the adult-education stream are still admitted but must complete levelling activities (mise à niveau) for any missing language, second-language or mathematics units by their first or second session. International applicants apply via SRAM as an International Candidate and, unless they are French citizens, must submit a French-language test result meeting Sherbrooke's own minimums: Bright Canada average 3.7, TCF tout public 484, DELF tout public B2 75.7, DALF 50, or TEF 479/699. On top of that, Analyses biomedicales (140.C0) requires secondary 5 Mathematics (SN 4e, CST 5e, or Mathématique 436), Chemistry (Chimie 5e or 534) and Physics (Physique 5e or 534). Once admitted, students must budget roughly $1,000 for lab coats and materials, undergo the vaccination required by clinical placement sites, and complete a mandatory judicial-background declaration form.

International applicants follow a separate SRAM timeline, confirmed directly on the cégep's site: Fall 2027 applications run from 15 March 2026 to 14 March 2027, and Winter 2028 applications run from 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2027. Admission is not open-ended rolling, but SRAM runs successive rounds for as long as places remain. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
