This technical diploma (DEC) in textile construction at Cégep Limoilou trains students in weaving, knitting, and dyeing, using computer-aided design software and computer-assisted looms. Coursework covers fibre selection, pigment and dye work, pattern design, fashion-collection development, and eco-responsible textile production, taught in small groups by practising textile professionals with digital-technology integration through the college's Fab Lab. Students build finished products and a personal sample repertoire and take part in exhibitions, guest-artist visits, and professional events. The programme runs three years (six sessions), delivered on campus across three sites: the Maison des métiers d'art de Québec, the Campus des métiers d'art, and the Limoilou campus. It is the only programme of its kind offered in eastern Quebec and is open to international students. Admission requires the Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES) with no specific subject prerequisites.
