The Auto Body and Collision Damage Repairer apprenticeship at Centennial College trains registered apprentices in the full range of collision repair techniques, covering vehicle components, frames, panels, grilles, and surface damage such as holes and dents. Delivered on campus at the Ashtonbee Campus, in-school training is organized into three levels, each an eight-week block-release session, alternating with employer-based on-the-job training. Required courses across the three levels include Applied Work Practices, Body Frame and Structure, Refinishing, Applied Mechanical, and Welding. Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 ("C") to progress between levels. On completion of the in-school levels, the required on-the-job training hours, and the Ministry certification exam, graduates receive an Ontario College Certificate. Admission is arranged through Ministry registration rather than direct application to the College.
