Trades - Apprenticeship in Automotive Service Technician Honda AHAP

The Automotive Service Technician Honda AHAP (MAP 32) program is a modified apprenticeship for new or existing Acura or Honda dealership apprentices, delivered at Centennial College's Ashtonbee Campus. Students alternate between the College and their employer for 64 weeks, split evenly into 32 weeks of in-class instruction and 32 weeks of on-the-job training. Training emphasizes automotive electronics and the diagnosis of mechanical systems, supplemented by factory e-learning modules and instruction on hybrid and alternate fuel systems. On successful completion, graduates receive an Ontario College Certificate in Motive Power Fundamentals and complete Automotive Service Technician Level 1 apprenticeship training. Applicants must already be employed by an Acura or Honda Canada Inc. dealership and register as a MAP apprentice before enrolling; the program does not accept direct applications from the general public.
