Tremplin DEC is a one-semester transition program offered at Champlain College Lennoxville (marketed as "Transition," under the ministry's Springboard to DEC/DEC-Tremplin pathway) and at Champlain St. Lawrence in Quebec City (marketed as "DEC Pathway"). It is not a diploma program in itself but a bridging term that normally leads into a regular DEC program the following semester. Coursework combines the general education courses common to all DEC programs, English, French, humanities and physical education, with one or two courses drawn from the student's intended field of study, and at Lennoxville includes skills-building courses such as Building College Skills and an Active Learner seminar. It suits students admitted for a winter start who are waiting for their program's fall intake, students missing one or more entry prerequisites, or students undecided about which DEC to pursue who want time to explore options before committing. Most credits earned during the transition term carry forward into the pre-university or technical program the student subsequently enters. International applicants who attended schooling systems outside Canada need proof from Quebec's Ministry of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusion (MIDI) or SRAM that their studies are equivalent to the Quebec Secondary V Diploma; the Fees and Admission Requirements page states no English or French proficiency test requirement for admission. Application Deadline:Applications to Champlain College-Lennoxville go through the Service regional d'admission du Montreal metropolitain (SRAM). First-round deadlines for Fall 2027 entry are 1 March 2027 for Quebec and Canadian applicants and 15 March 2027 for international applicants; for Winter 2027 entry the first-round deadlines are 1 November 2026 domestically and 1 June 2026 for international applicants, the latter already past by this fetch date. Missing the first round is not final: SRAM opens second and third rounds with remaining seats, though spaces are very limited, and round-one decisions become available from 2 April. Admission therefore runs through successive SRAM rounds rather than a single hard cutoff, so later applicants are still considered while seats remain. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
