Cert in Continuing Care Assistant

The Continuing Care Assistant certificate prepares students to deliver essential nursing care to residents of long-term care homes. The 17-week program includes supervised placements in long-term care facilities and leads to a CCNB certificate. It is offered across CCNB's five campuses (Bathurst, Campbellton, Dieppe, Edmundston, and Péninsule acadienne), starting in January. Admission requires a high school diploma (regular or modified program) or an adult high school diploma; international applicants may qualify with a secondary school diploma or equivalent and by passing the CCNB admission test. The curriculum combines classroom theory, laboratory skills training, and hands-on clinical placements, preparing graduates for entry-level roles providing personal care, mobility assistance, and basic nursing support to residents in long-term and continuing-care settings across New Brunswick's health and community-care sector.
