Offered by Collège de Maisonneuve in Montréal, Canada, Diploma in Techniques de l'informatique is a diploma in Software Engineering programme. The programme runs for 6 semesters. Teaching is in French. Tuition for international students is CAD 15,150 per year (CAD 3,740 per year for local students).
Informatique – Développement d'applications (420.B0) is a six-term technical program within Collège de Maisonneuve's Techniques de l'informatique program area, leading to a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC). It trains students to design, develop, and maintain applications across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, Android, and iOS applications, and to work with connected devices, collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, and apply agile development methodology. Described student projects include an online store, a mobile application, a web application, a photo-management and visualization tool, and a cloud-synchronized application. The program shares a common first-year core with the college's Infrastructure et sécurité des réseaux option, allowing students to move between the two after a year of study. Students have access to dedicated classrooms and labs, a server room, an open project workspace, and the college's computing research laboratory (LRIMa), along with computing-focused peer and instructor support. Near the end of the program, students complete a company internship. Graduates are prepared for roles such as programmer-analyst, web developer, and application developer, and the program supports transfer pathways into university computer-science and software-engineering degrees through DEC-BAC and bridging agreements with several Quebec universities. It suits students who want a hands-on, project-based introduction to software and application development.
