Overview
This pre-university Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Natural Science prepares students for university study in health and life sciences, pure sciences, applied sciences, and related fields. It runs two years (1,560 hours), with an extended option over five or six sessions, and is offered through a regular pathway or an English-enriched pathway. Coursework covers cell biology, ecology, differential and integral calculus, linear algebra, probability and statistics, chemistry (properties of matter, chemical transformations, and solutions), classical mechanics, electricity and magnetism, waves and modern physics, and introductory computer programming applied to scientific problem-solving, alongside a final integrative project. The program develops scientific literacy, interdisciplinary analysis, critical thinking, and communication skills. Graduates commonly pursue university programs in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, podiatry, nursing, pharmacy, nutrition, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, kinesiology, optometry, engineering, and architecture.

Admission Requirements: No enrolment quota currently applies. The regular pathway requires Secondary 5 Mathematics (SN or TS stream), Secondary 5 Chemistry, and Secondary 5 Physics, or their equivalents. The English-enriched pathway requires the same prerequisites plus an intermediate English level, assessed by an admission test.
