Prepare for employment in the field of Adventure or Adventure Tourism or continue studies toward a university degree.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission to the Mountain Adventure Skills Training (MAST) Certificate at College of the Rockies requires secondary-school graduation or equivalent and a grade of at least C+ (65%) in one of English Studies 12, English First Peoples 12 or ENGL090. Non-academic conditions apply: applicants submit the MAST Program Admissions Package, comprising the MAST Admissions Questionnaire, Ski Ability Policy and Agreement, Physical Fitness & Abilities Agreement and Medical History Questionnaire, and provide advanced written acknowledgement of the program waivers, which are signed again in person. Applicants must be 19 or older as of December 1; those younger at program start need a guardian's co-signature on the waivers, re-signed once they turn 19. The program page publishes no language test scores; applicants whose first language is not English are subject to College of the Rockies' general English-proficiency requirement — TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS Academic 6.0, CAEL-CE 60 or PTE Academic 56 — per the college's own admission requirements.
