Overview

The MASc in Chemical Engineering is a thesis-based program focused on the design of new chemical manufacturing processes and the properties of novel materials. Students undertake original research under faculty supervision and complete 45 credits over a nominal two years of full-time study. Admission requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or the sciences with high academic standing, equivalent to a Concordia GPA of at least 3.00 on a 4.30 scale. Graduates receive a Master of Applied Science (MASc) from Concordia University's Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering. The credential prepares graduates for research and development roles in the chemical and materials industries or for further doctoral study. The program admits students in the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms and is based on Concordia's Sir George Williams (SGW) campus in Montreal.
