Overview
The Bachelor of Animation is a three-year applied degree at Conestoga's Kitchener-Doon campus focused on animation for film, streaming, television, commercials and gaming. Students develop creative and technical expertise across the full animation pipeline, from character design through final production. The program culminates in a capstone animated short film and includes a paid co-op work term.

Admission Requirements: Domestic entry: an OSSD or equivalent, or being 19 or older, plus either six Grade 12 U or M courses averaging at least 65% or six Grade 12 C courses averaging at least 75%; Conestoga notes higher averages may be needed because places are contested. Meeting the academic minimum only opens the selection stage: applicants are then invited to submit a digital portfolio, and the place is decided on a combination of academic results, whether finished or still in progress, and the portfolio review. Co-op eligibility inside the degree needs a session weighted average of at least 65% in the qualifying term two semesters before a work term, with no more than two failures or withdrawals in that term. International applicants: Conestoga lists this program at the higher degree-level English minimums - IELTS Academic 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 88 with no skill below 22, PTE Academic 58, or Duolingo 120. Anyone holding transcripts from outside Canada, Canadian citizens and permanent residents included, needs a course-by-course credential evaluation from a service such as ICAS or WES, and must show English proficiency if the language of instruction was not English.
