Offered by Conestoga College in Kitchener, Canada, Bachelor of Early Learning Program Development (Honours) is a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education programme. The programme runs for 4 years, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 16,933 per year (CAD 6,747 per year for local students).
This four-year honours degree includes a paid co-op component and builds a practical understanding of how early learning programs are developed at both the classroom and community level. It prepares graduates for roles supporting children, youth and families through pedagogy, curriculum development and coordination, program development and coordination, and work in social policy. The curriculum is organized around research-informed practice, a population-level focus and social inclusion, with situational learning experiences designed to connect theory and practice. Students are asked to weigh multiple theoretical perspectives when examining social policy and when identifying practices that shape social and educational programs, building critical thinking and professional communication skills for inter-professional work.
