Overview
The accelerated delivery of Conestoga's Bachelor of Science - Nursing (Honours), available starting Fall 2026 under program code 1573A, runs continuously for 8 terms with no breaks so students complete the same honours nursing curriculum on a compressed schedule. Based at the Kitchener - Doon campus, the program pairs the scientific foundations of nursing with Conestoga's hallmark relational practice and extensive hands-on clinical learning across varied settings and client ages. Graduates of the program are eligible to apply to the College of Nurses of Ontario for registration as a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Direct entry admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, with a minimum of six Grade 12 courses: English (ENG4U) at 65% or Conestoga's Preparatory Communications for Degrees, Biology (SBI4U) at 65%, Chemistry (SCH4U) at 65%, any Grade 12 U-level Mathematics (including Preparatory Advanced Functions for Degrees, MATH0150), and two further Grade 12 U or M courses. Graduates of a Practical Nursing program, including Registered Practical Nurses, may apply with advanced standing directly into later semesters without bridging. Applicants whose prior instruction was not in English must demonstrate English language proficiency; Conestoga's own page names no programme-specific score, so its published international minimum for degree programs applies: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 88 with no skill below 22, PTE Academic 58, or Duolingo 120. Admission is highly competitive — the Fall 2026 minimum admission average was 89.6% — and offers are conditional on current immunization records (MMR, Tdap, varicella, hepatitis B), TB testing, Standard First Aid with CPR/AED, a vulnerable-sector police record check completed in Canada, respiratory fit testing, and seasonal flu/COVID-19 vaccination as required by clinical placement sites.
