Offering over 17,000 square feet of shop space, Conestoga provides you with the skills to be job ready to enter this high demand trade. Our one-year program provides Level 1 apprenticeship schooling with an emphasis on hands-on learning. Together we will explore various topics including safety, tool usage, preventative maintenance, engines, transmissions, drive trains and electrical/electronic components. As a graduate you will have the opportunity to receive exemption from Level 1 of the Truck and Coach Technician apprenticeship in-school training and/or advanced standing into year two of the Truck and Coach diploma program.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Direct entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or mature student status for applicants 19 years of age or older, with Grade 12 compulsory English at the C or U level (or Conestoga's Preparatory Communications) and Grade 11 Mathematics at the C, M (U/C) or U level (or Conestoga's Preparatory Mathematics for Trades). The program page defers English proficiency for non-English-instruction transcripts to Conestoga's institution-wide standard published on the college's international admission requirements page: for certificate programs this is IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 80 with no skill below 20, PTE Academic 53, or Duolingo 110. Applicants with credentials from outside Canada must obtain a course-by-course credential evaluation from an approved provider such as ICAS or WES. Conestoga notes that a sound mathematical and English background is important for success in this program.

Conestoga does not publish a separate equal-consideration date for its January intake. International applicants apply directly to Conestoga and are assessed on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis until each program fills; no fixed international closing date is published. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
