Cert in AEC Logistique du transport

The AEC Logistique du transport (LCA.DS) is an Attestation d'études collégiales from Cégep André-Laurendeau, in the transport and logistics field. Developed with input from 76 industry companies and validated by the CAMO-ROUTE sectoral committee, it runs 1,230 hours, about thirteen months, including two work placements, and is delivered entirely at a distance apart from the in-person placements. It trains technicians to handle the full movement of goods in an efficient, structured environment, covering prospecting, order taking, pricing, preparing quotes, organizing transport, managing equipment and documentation, invoicing and file follow-up. The four-session curriculum covers the supply chain, modes of transport, information and communication technologies, English, staff supervision, national road-transport logistics, dangerous and specialized-goods logistics, customs procedures, data processing for logistics, legal aspects of transport and the supply chain, national and international intermodal transport logistics, sales and customer service, inventory and procurement management, warehouse management, and an integrating project, with placements in road-transport logistics. Graduates work at freight forwarders, brokers, transport companies, integrators, manufacturers or distribution centres.
