The Bachelor of Science (BSc) is a flexible undergraduate degree offered by Dalhousie's Faculty of Science, spanning more than 15 subject areas including Biochemistry, Biology, Marine Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Medical Sciences, Microbiology, Ocean Sciences, Physics, Psychology and Neuroscience. Students enter the Faculty of Science as undeclared majors and complete foundational first-year courses in biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics before declaring a major, minor or specialization at the end of first year. From second year onward, coursework becomes discipline-specific, combining classroom instruction with laboratory and field-based learning. Program options include an honours degree, combined degrees, a minor, and study abroad. Courses are offered at Dalhousie's Halifax campus and at the Agricultural Campus in Truro and Bible Hill. Graduates are prepared for further study or careers in research, healthcare, environmental science and data science.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must have completed secondary school (Grade 12), including Grade 12 English, and must meet the minimum average required for the program. Program-specific requirements for direct entry to the Bachelor of Science are a minimum overall average of 75%, Academic English 12, Pre-calculus Math 12, and three additional academic subjects. All Bachelor of Science students enter the Faculty of Science as undeclared majors and officially declare a major, minor or specialization at the end of first year. Admission is competitive; meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee a seat.
