At Dawson College in Westmount, Canada, Diploma in Health and Life Sciences is offered as a diploma in Health Sciences programme. The programme runs for 2 years. Tuition for international students is CAD 7,575 per semester.
Health and Life Sciences is a two-year pre-university Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) at Dawson College, offered as one of several profiles within the college's Science program. The first year covers a broad range of science disciplines, while the second year concentrates on subjects most relevant to health-related university studies, including human anatomy and physiology and organic chemistry. As in the college's other science profiles, students are trained to apply scientific method, analyze scientific publications, use digital modelling and simulation tools, and complete an independent project addressing a health or environmental science question. Students in this profile receive priority access to advanced chemistry and biology courses and to Integrative Project sections oriented toward health and environmental topics. The profile is designed for students aiming to continue into university programs in fields such as medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, veterinary medicine, ecology or environmental science. Admission requires Secondary V mathematics, chemistry and physics, consistent with other science-stream DEC programs at the college.
