Overview
University Transfer Studies allow you start studying for your degree at Douglas and transfer to another school to complete your studies. The other school will recognize the education you took at Douglas. A course is considered university-transferable (UT) if it transfers to at least one of British Columbia's five research universities (UBC, UBC-Okanagan, SFU, University of Victoria, or University of Northern British Columbia).

Admission Requirements: This page states no programme-specific admission requirements and refers applicants to Douglas College's general admission standards, so the entrance criteria are the college-wide ones stated on the college's General College Admissions Requirements page. Domestic applicants must meet one of five general criteria: British Columbia secondary school graduation or its equivalent; standing one course short of that graduation; being at least nineteen by the end of the first month of the first semester attended; being seventeen on the first day of that semester with at least a year out of school; or a certificate from a special-needs programme after twelve years of schooling, or an Evergreen or Leaving School Certificate. The college's English Language Proficiency requirement is met with any of: TOEFL iBT overall 83, IELTS Academic overall 6.5, CAEL overall and essay 60, Duolingo English Test overall 110, or PTE Academic overall 56, among other listed options. All applicants apply through EducationPlannerBC, naming only one programme per application; the fee is CAD 38.90 for Canadian citizens and permanent residents and CAD 100 for international applicants. University-transfer courses at Douglas begin in September, January or May.

Domestic applicants apply through EducationPlannerBC: for the 2027 entry cycle, Fall applications open 1 October 2026, Winter applications open 1 February 2026, and Summer applications open 1 June 2026; limited-enrolment programmes set no fixed close and shut once seats fill, while open-enrolment programmes stay open until 4:00 p.m. the Friday before the semester starts. International applicants apply directly to Douglas: Fall 2026 entry is now closed, Winter 2027 entry is accepted until 30 September 2026, and Summer 2027 entry until 31 January 2027. Admission is effectively rolling within each window until seats or the deadline are reached. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
