This second-cycle graduate program in software engineering totals 45 credits, offered in two tracks. Admission Requirements: ÉTS's Master's in Software Engineering offers a project profile (M.Ing.) and a thesis profile (M.Sc.A.). The M.Ing. requires a bachelor's with a strong component in computer science, business informatics, information systems, computer engineering, or electrical engineering (computer option), a cumulative average of at least 3.0/4.3 (2.8-3.0 admitted after file review), adequate mathematics/computer-science and networking background, and a motivation letter; supplementary courses may be required if preparation is judged insufficient. The M.Sc.A. requires an engineering, computer-science or applied-science bachelor's with a computer component at the same 3.0/4.3 threshold, or another field with sufficient relevant knowledge/experience, plus a professor's prior acceptance as thesis supervisor. Both profiles require demonstrated sufficient French under ÉTS's graduate language policy; the M.Sc.A. alternatively accepts sufficient English (anglophone degree or language test) with a mandatory 3-credit French course outside the program.
