A foreign degree used for admission to the master's must represent a minimum of four years of study beyond secondary school. Applicants whose prior secondary or post-secondary studies were not completed in an education system Polytechnique Montreal recognizes as francophone must submit an accepted French-language test result before the application is reviewed (a Quebec CEGEP DEC, a Canadian French-medium secondary diploma, or a degree from a recognized francophone system is exempt); accepted tests are TFI 785 (730 for candidates admitted straight from secondary school), TCF/TCF Quebec/TCF tout public/TCF DAP with a minimum of 400 in every component, TEF/TEF Etudes en France 541, DELF B2, or DALF C1 or C2.
