Admission Requirements: Admission is competitive on academic achievement and requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including Grade 12 English (C or U) and either Grade 11 Math (M or U) or Grade 12 Math (C or U); meeting these minimums does not guarantee a seat, since George Brown may require higher grades. Applicants 19 or older with no OSSD may apply as mature students and either sit the George Brown Admissions Assessment in English and math or complete the equivalent upgrading credits. This programme page does not restate a language-test table, but George Brown's institution-wide English Proficiency requirement applies to every applicant whose prior study was not in English: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall (minimum 5.5 per skill band), TOEFL iBT 80 (minimum 20 per skill), PTE Academic 54 (minimum 50 per skill), CAEL 60 overall, or Duolingo English Test 110 overall (minimum 90 production), or the College's own English assessment.
