Requirements
Admission Requirements: In addition to the Melville School of Business's admission requirement — KPU's undergraduate English Proficiency Requirement — this Accounting Post-Baccalaureate Diploma requires either successful completion of a recognized undergraduate degree in any discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional work experience demonstrated through a portfolio. Applicants using the portfolio route are assessed by an admissions committee for maturity, programme fit, educational background and work experience, and may be interviewed as part of the screening process; meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee a seat. That requirement is met by BC English Studies 12, English First Peoples 12 or Literary Studies 12 at a minimum grade of C+ (or IB English HL/SL at 3, or AP English Language/Literature at 2), or by one of IELTS Academic overall 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 88 with no sub-score below 20, PTE Academic 61, CAEL 70 with no sub-score below 60, or Duolingo English Test 110, each taken within two years of the admission term. Completing the diploma itself then requires 51 credits of courses with a minimum grade point average of 2.5, but that is a completion requirement, not an admission GPA.
Application Details
Start Date:September
Application Deadline:KPU classifies most programs as Open Intake, meaning every applicant who meets minimum institutional requirements is admitted without ranking, while a smaller set of Limited Intake programs closes earlier. For the Fall 2027 (September) term, both domestic and international applications open on 1 October 2026; Limited Intake programs have a firm deadline of 1 March 2027 and may close earlier if demand is high, while Open Intake programs stay open on a rolling basis through a confirmation-deposit deadline of 15 June 2027 to a final cutoff of 1 July 2027. Spring (January) and Summer (May) entry follow the same open/limited pattern on an earlier timeline, and KPU applies identical deadlines to domestic and international applicants throughout. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
