Overview
This graduate diploma (DESS) is described by the university as the only programme of its kind in Quebec, training professionals to examine and evaluate the governance, management, exploitation and protection of an organization's information systems and recommend improvements. The 30-credit programme, offered by Universite Laval's Faculty of Business Administration, prepares graduates for the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification and for roles as IT auditors, cybersecurity auditors, IT control analysts and compliance specialists in government, insurance and private-sector organizations. It can be completed full-time in about one year or at a flexible part-time pace. The programme is offered partially or fully online, with some courses available in a hybrid format; certain courses are taught in English, though assignments and exams may be completed in French.

Admission Requirements: Applicants need a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, information technology, computer science or a related field, or a CPA designation, with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.22 on 4.33 or equivalent. French proficiency is required for non-francophone applicants, normally a TCF score of at least 600/699 with at least 14/20 on the written component, or equivalent coursework; English reading comprehension is strongly recommended but not mandatory for admission.
