Program details
Overview
The Commerce & Business Studies Associate of Arts Degree at Langara College provides the courses needed for equivalency to first- and second-year Commerce and Business Administration study at SFU, UBC, and UVic. The program combines core business, economics, and quantitative courses with general arts and science requirements, giving students a foundation before they transfer into a business faculty. It takes a minimum of two years to complete on a full-time or part-time basis, with intakes in September, January, and May. Because admission into business faculties at the three partner universities is competitive, the program advises students to maintain a strong cumulative grade point average throughout their coursework. Graduates typically continue directly into a Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration program, applying transfer credit earned through this associate degree toward their upper-level business studies.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Domestic applicants require BC Grade 12 graduation (or equivalent) or must be 19 years of age or older; international applicants require BC Grade 12 graduation (or equivalent).
