Overview
The Post-Degree Diploma in Accounting (PDD-AC) is a two-year programme for students who already hold a bachelor's degree and wish to pursue a career in accounting. The curriculum meets the entry-level education requirements of the Chartered Professional Accountants Professional Education Program (PEP), preparing graduates for further education and certification with CPA. Applicants without a business or commerce degree are advised that the programme is rigorous. Career areas open to graduates include public practice accounting, public sector accounting, private sector accounting, and banking, financial services, and planning. Courses are offered full-time and part-time, in-person, with intakes in September, January, and May. As of the Fall 2025 semester, admissions to the Post-Degree Diploma in Accounting are suspended until further notice.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Domestic and international applicants need a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from a recognized institution; preference may be given to graduates of non-accounting commerce degrees. The English language requirement is Category 2, met through English 12 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 70%, or an approved English proficiency assessment. Applicants also need a minimum 'C' grade in a post-secondary mathematics or pre-calculus course. Admission to a program does not guarantee registration into required courses.
