The Computer Studies Diploma can be completed in two years offers a foundation in computer science and information systems education. Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission to the Computer Studies Diploma requires BC Grade 12 graduation (or equivalent) for domestic applicants, or 19 years of age or older as an alternative; international applicants need BC Grade 12 graduation or equivalent. No minimum GPA applies to initial admission. English proficiency is assessed under Langara's Category 3 standard: English Studies 12 / English First Peoples 12 / Literary Studies 12 at 50%, IELTS Academic 6.5, Duolingo English Test 110, TOEFL iBT 80 (Writing 20, Reading 20, Listening 18, Speaking 18), CAEL 60, or PTE Academic 56. The diploma has limited enrolment; students who choose the co-op option must be enrolled in three or more program courses (minimum nine credits), maintain a GPA of at least 2.6 each term, pass an employability assessment interview, and complete EXPE 2300 with a minimum 'C' grade. Admission to the program does not guarantee registration in every required course.
