Overview
The Foundations of Indigenous Perspectives for Hospitality Micro-credential is designed to prepare you to deliver culturally respectful, inclusive, and value-driven hospitality experiences. You'll explore Indigenous worldviews and placed-based learning as they relate to guest service. Examine respectful engagement with Indigenous communities, cultural humility, and the importance of place in creating meaningful guest experiences. Emphasis is placed on relational approaches, sustainability, and values-based practices that support reconciliation and inclusive tourism. You'll reflect on their roles in fostering ethical and culturally aware hospitality environments.Through Indigenous worldviews, place-based learning, and ethical engagement, you'll build practical skills in relational service, cultural humility, and sustainability.

International applicants use the same EducationPlannerBC portal but face fixed closing dates: 30 September 2026 for Spring 2027, 31 January 2027 for Summer 2027 and 31 May 2027 for Fall 2027. A short list of limited-enrolment programmes - Nursing, Advanced Entry BSN, Nursing Practice in Canada, Applied Science for Engineering and the Post-Degree Diploma in Data Analytics - set their own, earlier deadlines that apply to both applicant types.
