Overview

The Bachelor of Nursing is a four-year collaborative degree between Lethbridge Polytechnic and the University of Lethbridge. Students complete the first two years at Lethbridge Polytechnic, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in simulated and real-world clinical settings, including the Simulation Hub, one of only four centres in Canada accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. Students then transfer to the University of Lethbridge to complete Years 3 and 4 and graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The Lethbridge Polytechnic portion of the program is delivered face-to-face at the main campus, with lectures, labs, and hands-on training. Admission is competitive and coordinated through the University of Lethbridge's application process, based on specific Grade 12 prerequisite courses. The program begins each September.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Applicants apply directly to the University of Lethbridge. Required Grade 12 courses are English 30-1 with a minimum grade of 60 percent, Biology 30, Chemistry 30, Mathematics 30-1, 30-2, or Pure Mathematics 30, plus one additional Grade 12 course. Admission is competitive, based on the average grade across these five courses.
