The General Arts and Science - English diploma at Lethbridge Polytechnic is a two-year, 60-credit programme combining broad arts and science coursework with a concentration in English studies. The curriculum introduces students to varied writing styles, including screenwriting and children's literature, alongside foundational arts and science courses. Delivery is primarily face-to-face on the main Lethbridge campus, with select courses offered in an online asynchronous format. The programme is designed to be highly transferable to other post-secondary institutions, giving students flexibility to pursue further study in English, writing-related fields or other disciplines. A single intake is offered each September. Graduates leave with a broad academic foundation and transfer-ready coursework, suited to students who have not yet settled on a specific degree path or who intend to continue toward a bachelor's programme in English or a related field.
