Diploma in Developmental Services Worker (Online)

This online Ontario College Diploma prepares students to support people with disabilities through community-based and residential care. Combining online coursework with hands-on placement experience in students' local communities, the program covers the skills needed to help individuals with disabilities build relationships, develop independence, and participate actively in community life. Graduates are prepared to work in residential programs, schools, community agencies, and long-term care facilities. The program can be completed full-time or part-time and is open enrolment with no fixed academic entry requirement. Placement components require eligibility for a criminal record and vulnerable sector check, current immunizations, and Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certification, along with schedule flexibility for block placements of several hours a day, several days a week. There is no fixed completion timeline; students must finish all diploma requirements within a set window after starting the program.
