Trades - Apprenticeship in Developmental Services Worker Apprenticeship

Developmental Services Worker Apprenticeship is delivered by Loyalist College entirely online through distance studies, with no requirement to attend classes or visit a campus. The program consists of 12 courses, allowing apprentices to earn their certificate while gaining hands-on experience in the developmental services field and completing course requirements on a flexible, part-time basis. As a registered apprenticeship, students must first register as an apprentice with the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) and secure a sponsor or employer to provide on-the-job training before enrolling in courses at Loyalist. The Ministry covers most of the in-class training costs, with the cost of each individual course noted on its course page. Intakes for the online courses are offered three times per year, in January, May, and September.
