Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Online)

This online Ontario College Diploma prepares students for careers supporting the learning and development of children from infancy through school age. The program combines flexible, interactive online coursework with practicum placements arranged within students' own Ontario communities, removing the requirement for classroom attendance. Students learn to design and implement curriculum that meets the diverse learning needs of children, with emphasis on inclusive practices, partnerships with families, multiple intelligences, and evidence-informed early childhood education approaches. The program is open enrolment with no fixed academic requirement, though practicum placements require a clear criminal record check including a vulnerable sector check, a valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certificate, and up-to-date immunization records including a negative two-step TB screening test. Intakes run in September, January, and May. Graduates are prepared to work in licensed child care settings across Ontario, applying evidence-informed practice to support children's early development.
