The Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering (Non-Thesis) is a course-based graduate program offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering. The program gives students breadth across electrical and computer engineering along with depth in a chosen area of specialty, drawing on research strengths in bioelectrical engineering, computational electromagnetics, intelligent systems, integrated circuits and systems, nano-electronic devices and materials, photonic systems, power engineering, software engineering, systems and control, and telecommunications and signal processing. Graduates typically pursue careers in industry development roles or continue to further study. Admission requires an eligible bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA (out of 4.0), plus McGill's English-language proficiency requirement for applicants whose first language is not English. The program admits students in the Fall term.
